Grade 3/4 City Camp

Grade 3/4 City Camp

On the 22nd-24th May the Grade 3/4 students went on a camp in the city! Many of the students were unfamiliar with a city environment, and enjoyed visiting a whole host of new attractions and events.  These included the Melbourne Star, an Aboriginal heritage tour, a memorial service at the Shrine of Remembrance, a classroom session on the Big Issue, a visit to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and a tour of the Polly Woodside.  As well as learning about and experiencing all these new sites, the 3/4 students learned to navigate their way through the city safely, including travelling by tram.  Everyone had different highlights to share!

We would like to thank Doxa City Camp for hosting us, Mr Pietsch for organizing the camp and all the other staff who attended and made it possible.

We had the opportunity to explore the ever-changing street art at Hosier Lane - the students had varying opinions on it!

Tyler is enjoying the view from the Melbourne Star.

Darcy is making his way through the obstacle course at Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Here we are scrubbing the deck at the Polly Woodside!
