Grade 5/6 Canberra Camp

The Grade 5/6 class had a fantastic four-day camp in Canberra.  They visited Parliament House, the Biblical Gardens, Questacon, the War Memorial, Tidbinbilla Deep Space Complex, Government House, the Dinosaur Museum, CSIRO, Sky Zone and even went bowling! It was a long bus ride, but the jam-packed activities and learning experiences more than made up for the travel time.

Here are some of the things the students had to say:

‘The best part of the trip was going to the War Memorial and examining all the medals and equipment, especially the huge artillery cannon. I learnt that there was a lot more equipment in the First World War, more than I thought.’ – Briant

‘The best part of the trip was going to Sky Zone the trampoline park and having a game of dodge ball with the whole class. It was great because we got to play together and do some team work.’  – Matthew

‘Overall, Canberra was an amazing trip and I would definitely go there again.’ – Ryan
