Grade P-2 City Day

On May 4th the Grade P-2 students went to the city to hear the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra play and to learn about Aboriginal culture at the Royal Botanic Gardens.   For some of the students it was the first time they had heard classical music played live, and there were some big smiles on their faces as they learned about the different sections of the orchestra and heard them play.  They then had a fantastic time at the Royal Botanic Gardens, enjoying the beautiful grounds.  The students participated in a traditional Aboriginal welcoming ceremony to the land, and they also learned about making paint from ochre and finding edible plants.  Thank you to Mrs Francis and Mrs Arena for organising this great experience!
