On Thursday 22^nd October, the Prep students were each given a tennis racquet and ball which were sent to the school by Tennis Australia. Each year, Tennis Australia aims to give equipment to students in their first year of school across Australia.

In PE, the students learnt how to hold a tennis racquet and hit a ball with it. They practiced hitting the ball up in the air and bouncing it into the ground with their racquet. They even played a little game called ‘walking the dog’.

Your child is encouraged to continue to practice the skills learnt in PE at home. Perhaps they can continue the activities learnt at school, hit the ball against a wall or play with someone else at home.
